    high note

    Hi, teachers.

    What does "High note" means?

The sentence is "It’s funny how consistently my kids are the most amazing performers in the talent show, for example, or the most gifted athletes on the field. Of course I tend to notice the things that confirm my opinion (the jump shot or high note that’s successful) and forget the ones that contradict it (the jump shot or high note that’s missed)."

And is "talent show" something about music?

    Re: high note

When you can successfully sing or play a very high (in pitch) note, that is an accomplishment.

Some things you can easily look up and do not need to ask about here.

When one is singing, the high note (the one at the uppermost part of the scale) is usually the most difficult because it strains the voice. Many people do fine with a song and then their voice cracks when they sing the high note.

I always search dictionaries and sometimes wikipedia. but if i can not understand words then make a topic here. Actually most often because of cultural difference
