Hi,
I'm new to the forum.
I'd like to know why it is possible to say "I wanted you to know" and not "I wanted that you knew"?
Are there any grammar rules that explain that? It's confusing me a lot because I've seen sentences such as "It worried me that she drove so fast" which both of its verbs are past tense whereas the first one "I wanted you to know" has one of its verbs in past tense and the other one is a to-infinitive
I'm sorry if I've made any mistakes! I'd be grateful if you correct me.
Thank you very much in advance!
Cheers
