Question All breaks for service team have to be authorized

    1. All breaks for service team have to be authorized by a manager/team leader on duty, including breaks to go to the washrooms. The colleague has to report back to the manager or team leader after his/her break.
    2. No, discounts, free drinks, free food or other services can be offered to guests by any colleague unless it is authorized by Management.
    3. No alcohol is to be consumed on the hotel premises unless authorized by a management.
    4. No personal electronic items, e.g. walkmans, iPod, mini hi-fi are to be brought to the restaurant.

    Please correct the above sentences.

In both cases, I would change "colleague" to "worker", "staff member" or "service team member". There are probably other possibilities, but none come to my mind right now.

Re: All breaks for service team have to be authorized

    3. No alcohol is to be consumed on the hotel premises unless authorized by a management.
    4. No personal electronic items, e.g. walkmans, iPod, mini hi-fi are to be brought to the restaurant.
In 3, add 'by staff' after 'consumed' and delete 'a'.

In 4, capitalise 'Walkmans' and pluralise 'iPods' and 'mini hi-fis'.

Aren't they pretty much the same as in the OP?

Rover suggested corrections underneath the quote.

Yes, now. But when I posted, only the original sentences were visible. No quote, no corrections. Hence, my post.

Delete the first comma in 2.
You mean that workers can't have alcohol, right? Paying guests can? Workers may not...
Does anyone still own Walkmans? This seems like something written 20 years ago.
