    Hi,
    I cannot understand what the below sentence means?

    A liquid said by Pierset to have properties known to be similar to to those of UF
    .

    Pierset says that the liquid has properties that we know are similar to those of UF.

    I did an acronymfinder search when I answered and found urea-formaldehyde, but have no idea if that is right.

    Urea-formaldehyde has properties similar to a liquid that Pierset wrote about as any fule kno.
