Another word for "acquaint withs something" or "learn about something"

a) Does phrasal verb "get to know" mean the same?
b) Is there something like "get known" correct?

You should know by now that we need more context to go on if we are to give a helpful response.

For example in sentence: "I must acquaint myself with this material (documentation) before I start to work." can I use those phrasal verbs?

But can I use those two above in this sentence?
a) I must get to know this material before I start to work.
b) I must get known this material before I start to work.
Are these correct?

"Get known" is incorrect.

"Get to know" is usually used when referring to a person rather than material.

You could also use "familiarize myself".
