    subordinating conjunctions

I think when we have a subordinating conjunction we use semicolon (;) and we can use this point whether the subordinating conjunction is either in the first or second sentence.

    1. He can solve the problem; because, he is clever.
    2. Because he is clever; he can solve the problem.

Am I right in using the punctuations?

Would you please add some other subordinating conjunctions in my list below?
    since, though, although, because, ...

    THANKS

    Re: subordinating conjunctions

We normally use a comma, not a semi-colon.

So if I replace semi-colons with commas my sentence is OK?
    1. He can solve the problem, because, he is clever.
    2. Because he is clever, he can solve the problem.

    Re: subordinating conjunctions

The comma after 'because' in #1 should be removed.

    Thank you, so
    1. He can solve the problem, because he is clever.
    2. Because he is clever, he can solve the problem.
    are correct.
Actually it happened to me to remember a rule which is 'comma splice.'
These two sentences are very natural and familiar to me but I am in doubt why I can't consider them as 'comma splices.' We have two sentences: 'because he is clever' and 'he can solve the problem' and we joined them using a comma.
    Thanks again.

No. The first is not correct. I told you that you need to remove the comma after 'because'.

Oh, pardon. I corrected now. I was just concentrating on my question and unfortunately I forgot it then. Now please read it again.

'because he is clever' is not an independent clause; it cannot be a sentence.

    Re: subordinating conjunctions

I wouldn't include the comma before "because" either.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
