Dear teachers,

I was listening to the weather forecast on radio, and I heard the weather lady saying:
"it will be expected to be raining tomorrow"

Is it incorrect to write this sentence?

Please help, teachers.

Thanks

That is very unnatural. What radio station were you listening to?

We expect it to rain tomorrow.
It is expected to rain tomorrow.
We expect that it will rain tomorrow.

That sentence is incorrect because it puts the "expecting" in the future. If it is not expected now, how could one know that it will be expected at some later time?

Dear teachers,

I was listening to the weather forecast on radio, and I heard the weather lady saying:
"it will be expected to be raining tomorrow"

Is it incorrect to write this sentence? Yes and no. No, because the construction you presented is both awkward and the phrase "will be expected" in that context is not a correct usage. Yes in response to your title of using "future and expect together" as in "I will expect you to be here on time this week".
Please help, teachers.

Thanks

Kitty

Incorrect in that context, yes. "We'll be expecting you on Wednesday" is absolutely fine (in BrE).

That would be fine in AmE also.
