Hello everyone.

I have questions about "whom" and "whose". This thread is about "whom".

I can imagine some situations where I could use this word. But I am not sure about the following situation:

Let's pretend this: My teacher asked me give this book a boy in the next class. But I don't know anything about that boy. But he knows, that someone should give him the book. When I come in the room what should I say? "To whom I should give this book?" I really want to use "whom" in this sentence. If it does not sound natural, please, give me more polite or correct sentence.

Thanks in advance.

Nickle.

If you really want to use "whom," then you need to say "To whom should I give this book?"

But Rover gave you the natural way of asking.
