Post It is a wrong sentence or not?

Although the following sentence is found from a book of a English-speaking professor, i still treat it as a wrong English expression :

The sentence is: For "the new ideological revival" was seen "in terms of one syndrome of which the New Left, the cult of youth, the cult of viloence, the revolt against advanced industrial , neo-poulism are but various aspects.
I guess the author perhaps made a little mistake to add a redudent "For" here.

I see nothing wrong with it except neo-poulism, which is probably a typo for neo-populism. "For" is used here as a conjunction, not a preposition.

    Welcome to the forum, Marioooo.

As this is a forum in which we give models of correct English, please do not use text-speak abbreviations such as 'u' for 'you'.

'For' has a similar meaning here to that of 'because, since, as'.

Thanks for your explanation! According to your notion, i still can not get it. can you account for it explicitly or paraphrase the sentence to several short and simple sentences for better understanding

    Think of it as "Because."
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
