Write these sentences in indirect speech
Richard: my paper on the health benefits of humor has just been published in a medical journal.
Me: I’m happy for you! I’d appreciate it if you give me a copy.
Indirect = Richard told me that his paper on the health benefits of humor had just been published in a medical journal.
Indirect = I said/answered that I was happy for him and I would appreciate it if he could give me a copy.
Can I say "gave" instead of "could give"?
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
Who wrote the original?
'I'd appreciate it if you give me a copy' is not good English.
