Direct = Dad said, “Hurry up or we will be late"
1. Indirect = Dad told us to hurry up or we will be late.
2. Indirect = Dad told us to hurry up or we would be late.

Number 1 is incorrect. Right?

It would be correct if the utterance was spoken recently. Otherwise, go with #2.
