    Welcome to the forum.

My first tip for both of your exam papers is to concentrate on the rules of written English:

    - Start every sentence with a capital letter.
    - Always capitalise the word "I".
    - End every sentence with a single appropriate punctuation mark.

Do not write complete words in capital letters, particularly online.

Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Also, do not use three exclamation marks when a full stop will do.

Note that the names of the exams should be capitalised too. You are soon to take your "English Literature" and "English Language" exams.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

I wonder if this could be made into an automated message. Every time a Newbie starts a new thread this message pops up and they have to tick a box to confirm that they have understood it before they can submit their post. I think that would save emsr2d2 a lot of typing or, as the case may be, copy and paste.

It's a nice idea but I don't think it would be fair to remind people of those rules if their first post was already correctly written. I only post this when the OP has shown a distinct disregard for (or lack of knowledge of) those rules. I also tend to tailor the list of rules so that the ones the OP has failed to observe are closer to the top. That's why I don't copy and paste it, I write it from scratch each time.

Just as well I'm a fast typist, eh?
