Liston to Alison talk about Paul to her friend

    Hi !

    Are they both true ?

Listen to Alison talk about Paul to her friend. (I think, there is not possesive about Alison's conversation.)

    OR

Listen to Alison's conversation with her friend about Paul.

Edit: Ohh ! I wrote liston but I can't edit title.

Re: Liston to Alison talk about Paul to her friend

    They are both correct.

But there may be a slight connotative shading. When you listen to Alison talk about Paul it is (IMHO) slightly more likely that she knows you can hear her than if you merely listen to Alison's conversation. If this difference exists at all, it is a tiny one.

Re: Liston to Alison talk about Paul to her friend

Listen to Alison talk about Paul to her friend.

Is this sentence true as a gramatical? If I make this sentence myself, It will be like that:

Listen to Alison who talks about Paul to her friend or Listen to Alison talks about Paul to her friend.

No wonder you are confused. The sentence means:

Listen to Allison and her friend while they talk about Paul.
