    The ŋ sound.

    Hello,

Would you please tell me the name of the velar nasal ŋ? Is it 'eng' or 'engma'? How do you pronounce these words? /eŋ / and /eŋgmə/?

    Thank you
    Hela

    Re: The ŋ sound.

Both names are used, as you can see from the page you linked to. They are pronounced /eŋ/, /ˈeŋmə/.
