    What did/have you study/studied at university?

    What did/have you study/studied at university?

    Which tense would be more appropriate? Can we even tell without context?

    I would say past simple would be correct but I'm not sure whether present perfect would be as well.

    You need context. Both are possible, and mean slightly different things.
