    Question Can VS DO

Came across the sentences in the text "Where do I pay?", "How do I get to the shop?"
Usually I say "can" instead of "do" in such cases.
Is it appropriate to say "do"? Is there any difference?
Explain me, please, for I can't find any information on this point.

    Re: Can VS DO

    Welcome to the forums, Anastasia.

In the above sentences, there is no difference between 'can' and 'do'.

However, you must not assume this will always be the case.

    Thank you!
But can we always replace "can" with "do"?

No we can't, as Rover has already indicated.
