Cool you answer or reply to a request

    Hello,

I suppose I sort of understand the difference between "to answer " and " to reply".

But, I'm not sure about this one:

DO we answer a request or reply to a request?

    Thanks a lot

    Will

Both are possible. My sense is that "reply to a request" is more common.

Re: you answer or reply to a request

You answer a question and reply to a question.

You respond to a request, grant a request or deny a request.
