    Some questions

    Hello everyone,

I wrote an essay few days ago and received feedback from my teacher, however, there are some mistakes that I don't understand why they are wrong. Would you please clarify them to me if possible:

    a) From my experience, (it came to my notice) that ....... Does the phrase in parentheses indicate that the notice came form someone to the speaker or does it indicate that the speaker is the one who did the act of noticing?

    b) Which is correct: "The writing of many students" or "The writing of many student"

    c) When do we exactly use the transition "Thus"

    d) XYZ offers an interesting listing of (these reasons consisting of providing) useful comments and .....
My teacher marked the words in parentheses as wrong. Why is that?

I'd really appreciate it if you explained my mistakes to me.
