    Draw Up Meanings

According to the entry for "draw up" in this dictionary ( learnersdictionary.com/definition/draw ), definition 1 shows that "draw up" could mean "make a picture", with the "up" adding emphasis to the act of finishing drawing. But definition 10 says "draw up" could also mean "make a plan/document".

And then there is this example:

"The producer showed serious interest, so our marketers, McCann Erickson, drew up a picture of Stephen's female leatherback."

So, which definition should be used for "draw up" in this example?

    not a teacher

It appears that the marketers actually drew an image of the leatherback turtle holding a flag, so definition #1 would be appropriate.
