A book is called Son of God or Son of the Devil. Why God is without “the” while Devil is with it? Should it be like that traditionally or there is some special meaning if put this way?

God is the name of the most popular god in English. However, Devil is not a name; he's called Satan, or Lucifer or ... actually I believe his names are legion. But we don't call him just Devil. That should imply that it is not be capitalised unless it's in a title; but you will see it. I'd write, "He's the son of the devil; He's a little devil."

Is not it a bit strange: God is a name of a god?

Those who believe in only one god refer to him and address him as God. I suppose it's not really a 'name', more a combination of name and title.

Would it be possible to change the title to Son of God or Son of Devil (without the)? Would it be just wrong or would it give a different meaning?

You can have the Son of God (The Christian God having only one son), a/the son of a devil (one of many devils) or a/the son of the Devil (Lucifer).

If you used a name, you could omit the:
Son of God or Son of Satan

According to some religions, a devil is one of many evil spirits; the Devil is the chief devil, known by many names. When we use "the" we are referring to a specific devil.
