With the options you mention, the message would seem somewhat disconnected from the year 2002.
It was 2002 (now you're talking about the year up to which something has happened) and I lived/was living in Turkey for two years (now, you've changed the subject and you're talking about something other than what has happened up to 2002 - you're living in Turkey must have happened at some other point before 2002, certainly not up to that year).

How can a person live for two years in 2002?:?:
I mean 2002 is only one year but the sentence says that he lived in 2002 for two years.

Let me take you back to 2002. You're living in Turkey in 2002. You came here two years ago. Now, if you want to mention a period of time that you have been somewhere, leading up to present time, you use a perfect tense. And as we're talking about a situation in the past, you'll normally have to use a past perfect tense to refer to it:
I had been living in Turkey for two years means that you first arrived in Turkey in 2000, and had been living there ever since. It was 2002 introduces the point of time at which your living in Turkey is still true, a point of reference, as you like.
