    this his second film

    Hello, teachers.

    I've found the following:

Some critics have panned this new film from director and co-writer Joseph Kosinski, in this his second film ("TRON: Legacy"), as being highly derivative.

Should this phrase "this his second film" be written as "this second film of his"?

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

    yam.

I would write it "... in this, his second film, as being highly derivative". It is not clear from the sentence you posted whether "Tron: Legacy" is the title of his second film or his first.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
