    reminder letter

Can I use "reminder letter"in this sentence? Thank you.

We sent a reminder letter to Mr. Ling on July 15, 2013 when we did not receive his response to our letter.

Yes, but I would give a date for the original letter referred to in the last two words of the sentence.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Re: reminder letter

You could start 'We sent a reminder to Mr Ling...' to avoid the repetition of 'letter'.
