    Do you use idioms?

    Hello.

I think my question is in the title. Why did I ask it? Because there are a lot of idioms and I don't know: Should I use them or not?
I'm really afraid that if I say an idiom and someone won't understand me.

    Are there archaic idioms?
Do you (native speaker AmE, BrE or AuE) use them?

    Thanks.
Please, correct all my mistakes. I should know English perfectly and if you show me my mistakes I will achieve my dream a little bit faster. A lot of thanks.

Not a teacher nor a native speaker.

All native speakers use idioms. They are earned as one goes along. Language learners need to be careful with idioms. Used incorrectly, they will provoke laughter. Are you familiar with a TV show called NCIS? One of the characters on the show is an Israeli Mossad operative who works as a liaison with American NCIS. She is always messing up English idioms.
