"Chinese are" or "the Chinese are"?

    Hi,
Is it ok to say "Chinese are friendly" instead of "THE Chinese are friendly"?

    Thanks!

Re: "Chinese are" or "the Chinese are"?

    Just trying

The is necessary with adjectives, to refer to a whole group of people.Eg. The French, The Indians, The Chinese.

    China - Country
    Chinese - Adjective
