Why can't I download an avatar from my computer or URL?

There are some restrictions on people who have just joined- they're to stop spammers and advertisers. You also cannot post links- the post will not appear on site until it has been approved. When you've posted ten times, the restrictions are lifted. Please post naturally, though. Posting 'thanks' ten times like spammers won't work. Sorry for the inconvenience, but the deluge of spam means that these measures have to be taken.
