    spot the error

None of the twins offered to help me.

kindly spot the error, if any in the above sentence and correct it.

    Re: spot the error

Hint: It would not be an error if it was said at a convention of twins.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

If there are two twins, which is usually the case, it should be "neither". If there are many sets of twins, as with Barb's twin convention, it should be "none".
