    using 'or' in questions

    Hi, I would like to know if I can use 'or in the following question:

    'Is pasta your favourite food or pizza?'

    I know that it is supposed to be 'Is pasta or pizza your favourite food? ' but
    is the former question above acceptable?

    It would be OK in informal English. Your other suggestion is better, as is: Is your favorite food pasta or pizza?
