have meant to or have been meaning to

    Hello all,

I need your opinion about these two sentences. Which one is correct?

    1. I've meant to send you an e-mail ever since I got back to Peru from my trip around Chile and Argentina with my boyfriend, Gino.
    2. I've been meaning to send you an e-mail ever since I got back to Peru from my trip around Chile and Argentina with my boyfriend, Gino.

    Thank your help,
