    Finding Error

Bacteria are neither plants nor animals, and are single-celled organisms that reproduce most commonly through binary fission.

Can you please spot the error in this sentence?? I couldn't find any wrong structure.

    Thanks

Find a more appropriate conjunction than 'and'.

    Re: Finding Error

Finding a contrast between these two following sentences is a bit hard for me.

I wouldn't use "and" or "but" there. I would make the second part a separate sentence beginning with "They are".

"They are neither plants nor animals, but single-celled organisms." No 'are' in the second phrase.
