    pop stuff

What does "pop stuff" mean in the following?

'It's because we know you have a real core audience that will pay whatever it costs when you put something out---you know, true fans. It's the pop stuff we have to discount to get people to buy.' So, I guess as a reward for being a 'true fan' you get ripped off.

    Thank you.

In that use, "pop stuff" refers to items that are popular because of the performer.

    not a teacher

In this context, I think "pop stuff" means popular music of a particularly ephemeral sort. The speaker is Trent Reznor of the band Nine Inch Nails. He is quoting a music executive who has told him that the company often has to discount the price of pop music that has a fickle audience, compared to his band's music.

    I think you are correct.
