    as well as, either

    Hi,

Drinking yoghurt stabilized using pectin were found to be shear thinning whereas pectin-stabilized milk–juice drinks as well as either category of AMD stablilized by CMC were found approximately close to Newtonian behaviour.

Does as well as mean "in addition to" ? or It means to the same high degree as someone or something?

what about either? Does it means like both category of AMD?

    Thanks

Are you sure you have copied these correctly?

    Yes, I'm completely sure.

Sorry, I can't help you then. The first part makes no sense to me. Perhaps somebody else can shed light on this.

    Re: as well as, either

Drinking-yoghurts stabilized using pectin were found to be shear-thinning, whereas pectin-stabilized milk–juice drinks, as well as either category of AMD stablilized by CMC, were found (to be?) approximately close to Newtonian behaviour.

Some Googling tells me that this is to do with the viscosity of fluids. Beyond that, I have no understanding of it at all.
I have made a few suggestions to give it some structure.
Let's take only the section you've asked about.

"… as well as either category of AMD stabilized by CMC…"

"as well as" = and also, and in addition
"either" means that each of the two categories of AMD were found to have the same properties as the milk-juice drinks, with regard to Newtonian behaviour.
