Hi there,
I am trying to compare two ratios, for instance, which are 23.23 and 11.12 and do not know how to express by using "twice" in my sentence. Here is what I had in mind for this expression: the first ratio-23.23 is nearly twice the second ratio.
Is that correct?
Also, if possible, please give me some other examples to show how to use "twice".
Thanks!
Zoey
You don't appear to have given any ratios. Is the first one 23:23 or 23.23:1? (23 to 23, 23.23 to 1)
A decimal point between 2 numbers doesn't signify a ratio; you need colon.
"The ratio of numbers A and B can be expressed as:^{}[4]
- the ratio of A to B
- A is to B (often followed by "as ...")
- A:B
- A fraction (rational number) that is the quotient: A divided by B
