Please, check...
If the house hadn't been stolen, we haven't to buy new furniture now.
Thanks!

Hello Englishlearner,

"stolen" is not ok in your sentence.

If the house hadn't been burglarized, we wouldn't have bought new furniture. (it's third conditional)

I'm not a native English speaker.

But I want to express the idea that I'm buying furnitures now....and your sentence is all about past without any connection with present.

If the house hadn't been burglarized, we wouldn't (have to) buy new furniture now.

Englishlearner, the word "furniture" is an uncountable noun. Don't say "furnitures"

Why is it third conditional,if I'm going to buy furniture right now?
Shouldn't it be mixed conditional (with past condition and present result?):-?

You need to use different titles for your threads.

See posts #4 and #5. Also '... we wouldn't be buying ...'

And in BrE, "burgled", not "burglarized".

If the house hadn't been burgled, we wouldn't have to buy new furniture [now].
