    Starting taking..

    Hello,

Could someone check these sentences? Are they correct?

    - She is finishing doing her homework.
    - They're starting taking English lessons.
    - My sister is enjoying learning how to drive.
    - He's not admitting doing that.

    - My father doesn't admit me going out with a boy.

    Thank you.

    - She is finishing doing her homework. Correct, but it would be more natural to leave out the "doing".
    - They're starting taking English lessons. Correct.
    - My sister is enjoying learning how to drive. Correct.
    - He's not admitting doing that. Correct in colloquial English. More formally, it should read "He's not admitting to doing that".

    - My father doesn't admit me going out with a boy. No. "My father doesn't allow/permit me to go out with a boy".

    Thank you.
    Hope these help.

I agree with Grumpy's answers, but for me, #2 is better as "starting to take English lessons".

    Re: Starting taking..

    Thank you guys.

Personally I'd say "my father doesn't let/allow/permit me going out..." but a student came up with this sentence and I felt cornered. We were studying the verbs that require the -ing form after them.
    Thanks again.

None of these are correct when linked with "going".
    They should be:

    1. ....doesn't let me go out.
    2. ....doesn't allow me to go out.
    3. ....doesn't permit me to go out.

You could say "..doesn't like me going out", or "..doesn't stop me going out".
