Picture 2 - yes.
According to my flatmate, the first is an "anti-aircraft gun", not a cannon.

What's the difference between "cannon" and "howitzer"?

Thank you 5jj.

Look at this other picture:

Picture 3

Picture 3 is a howitzer. Can I call a howitzer a cannon as well? This picture 3 is a howitzer. I want to know that do you call "a howitzer" a cannon or not?

I don't know. Read the articles I linked you to and see if they help.

As far as I know a howitzer is kind of the cannon. It is not a howitzer on the picture 3.

If I accidentally showed you picture 3, sure you would say it's a cannon. (although it's called a howitzer)
Agree with me?

Please stop making out that we are the ones being unreasonably bothered. We like questions. We like intelligent, well-thought out questions. We like people to do all their own research first and then come to us when they have been unable to find out the answer anywhere else. We like people actually reading the responses they are given and not just asking question after question after question, changing just one word in their question in order to keep a thread going that has no purpose. You have the answers to what we call the items in those three pictures.
