What should I call the people of a tribe?

    Hello,

I am writiing a novel about tribes and kingdoms.

I am calling the main tribe, the Braves tribe.

My question is: when I want to talk about the people of the tribe what should I say?

sould I say the Braves are happy or the Braves is happy or the people of the braves are happy? or is there an other way

    Please help me

The Braves (plural) are (plural) happy.

If you choose "The [name] tribe (singular)" then you follow it with the singular verb.

Take care to use correct capitalisation and punctuation in your posts.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Your use of "Braves" for a tribe name reminds me of the Atlanta Braves baseball team. You might want to reconsider the name.

    Another reason to reconsider:

brave - definition. American English definition of brave by Macmillan Dictionary

(It says that the word is dated)
