    landscape and the scenery

    1. Do you think "in the country" means "a rural area" or "in the whole nation"?
    2. What do you think is the difference between landscape and the scenery? Are they the same?

6)B : According to the report, the farm will be built in the windiest area in the country.
G : What about the landscape and the scenery? Those wind mills are a complete eyesore.
B : I think the ugliness of the wind farms is a price worth paying.

    1. It is difficult to say from that one sentence. Wind farms are not built in densely packed urban areas. They take a lot of room. On the other hand, countries have areas that are windier than others.
    2. In some uses, "landscape" and "scenery" can be synonyms. Notice that "scenery" is used in the first three definitions of "landscape" here:

    Re: landscape and the scenery

I added more context, but it's still hard to tell.

G: I know you agree with the government's plan to build a wind farm
B: Right, wind farms are a possible answer to our energy needs in the future
G: I agree, but the problem is that it is going to be build in a national park.
B: I think you have been given the wrong infomation. It's not going to be build in the national park...
    ..............
B : According to the report, the farm will be built in the windiest area in the country.
G : What about the landscape and the scenery? Those wind mills are a complete eyesore.
B : I think the ugliness of the wind farms is a price worth paying.
