    class/classes

    Hello,

I don't know which one I can use in the following contexts:
    a. The class/classes begin(s) too early. (meaning: I'm attending an English course that is held on Thursdays and one lesson lasts two hours. Should it be singular or plural, or both are acceptable?)
    b. The teacher often comes late to the class/classes. (meaning: I'm attending an English course and the teacher is often late for work.)

    Thanks for your replies.

This is a matter of singular versus plural. I have one car. She has two cars. I have a class on Monday. I have many classes on Thursday.
