    By strict grammatical rules, it should be "whom" because it is the object of the preposition "for". However, that usage is considered formal. In everyday conversation, "who" would be frequently used.

    In BrE, almost nobody uses 'whom' in speech. Some use it in more formal writing, but quite a few don't.

    And even then, some only use it after a preposition. I think it's still too early for the obituaries, but it is falling into disuse.
