    Heading

The impact of explicit word guessing-meaning instruction on reading comprehension on Iranian intermediate EFL learners.

I want to know whether this heading is suitable for my proposal or not. Any amendment?

Can you provide us with more context?

    Re: Heading

I am working on a proposal related to examining the impact of guessing the meaning of the words in contexts in order to get the firm grasp of the whole meaning of the given reading. However, I must provide the best heading at first. Look at this question :

At a given barometric pressure, independent of temperature, the dew point indicates the mole fraction of water vapor in the air, and therefore :determines" the specific humidity of the air.
    What does determine mean?1. Appoint2. Indicates3. Perceive4. Ferment

I want to teach how our students can reach to the correct answer. But I need your help for improving my heading!

If it determines the humidity, it shows the exact humidity. All the options are wrong. You need to sort that out before worrying about an appropriate heading.

Do you wish to delete the entire thread? We usually don't do that after someone has replied. However, the response was not to your original questions.

The impact of explicit word guessing

This heading does not work for me. An "explicit word" sometimes means "bad language" or "graphic language" (parents are warned about the use of "explicit language" in a movie, for example). The "impact" is the effect it has, and you want to say HOW to do this, not what effect it has.

You want something like "Assisting Students in Determining Word Meanings Based on Context"
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
