    Post writing

    Hello Dear,
I'm looking forward to hearing from you as soon as you can.
I look forward to hearing from you as soon as you can.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.
I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.
Which sentence is correct and more formal to send within a message to professor?
    regards,

    Re: writing

Are you planning to start a letter to a professor with "Hello Dear"?
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

I'm not sure that the professor would mind. Calling strangers "dear" seems to be ubiquitous in North Africa from Libya to Morocco (as evidenced on this very forum over the years.) If students are all using it, where are they getting it from?
