    Asking about the verb dream?

    I dream__________ a pop star one day.
    what is the right answer ?

    1- become
    2- becoming
    3- to become
    4- of becoming

    I think it's to become.

    please tell me what is the right answer and why ?


    and what the different between(to become) and (of becoming) in this sentence

    The usual collocations are 'dream of' or 'dream about'.

    The correct answer is 4. We dream "of" becoming something or "about" becoming something. We don't dream "to" become something. We could say "My dream is to become a pop star".
