Some experts believe that it is better for children to begin learning a foreign language at primary school rather than secondary school.
Do the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?
Nowadays, many people are trying to learn a foreign language in many ways. Some people, teaching a foreign language at primary school is better for children to learning, other argue that children have to begin learning at secondary school. In my opinion, children, who are enrolling at primary school, begin to learn foreign language is more advantages due to fact that following reasons.
To begin with, I want to write disadvantage of learning foreign language at primary school. A child has to learn his native language fluency. A recent survey shows that to teaching foreign language when he has small age are affect negatively to learn own language to child. Moreover, a foreign language is only not language it is culture of this country. It means foreign culture will probably more dominate than traditional culture in this country, if primary schools offer foreign language classes to their students.
However, there are considerable advantages as well. Firstly, children can learn easily many things when they are studying primary school because their learning ability is strong. We can see that people, who was learn foreign language, have gain many skills such as coherency, fluency and logically. In addition, people’s ability to learn foreign language is decrease dramatically as they have more old age.
Furthermore, globalization have been spreading whole world last years while usage of foreign language is progressing. Thus, class of foreign language is considered as fundamental subject in many countries. Main classes included basis mathematics, general knowledge, and citizenship, are taught by primary school, so foreign language should be compulsory in these schools.
In conclusion, teaching the foreign language to children at primary school brings many benefits and outweighs the disadvantages.
