    Help with Tenses

I would like to know in which tenses the following sentences are:

1- This has not been completely successful.
2- For many years Iran and Israel have been enemies.
3- Who had been president for 8 years.

    Welcome to the forum.

    1) What is the purpose of this exercise? Is it a test you have to do for homework?
    2) What do you think the correct answers are?

Note that 3 in your post is not a full sentence. Was it supposed to have a question mark at the end?
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

No. I was reading an article at Newsademic.com the title about IRAN, NUCLEAR PROGRAM AGREEMENT. I think the first tow are Present Perfect but I'm not sure, the third one Past Perfect but I'm not sure too.
The complete sentence for "3- He took over from Mahmoud Ahadinejad, who had been president for 8 years."

I'm confused because the verbs are absents in those sentences I guess. Need help.
