Hello

What's the difference between BUT and THOUGH/ALTHOUGH?
Do you use them in the same way?

Well, in terms of meaning, they're very similar, but grammatically there's a big difference: 'but' is what's called a coordinator (or, in full, coordinating conjunction), whereas the other two are essentially interchangeable forms of the same subordinator (or subordinating conjunction). For the difference between these two types, see e.g. Conjunctions.
