    Gap fill

I can't find out the words with cues (number of the letters)
    1. He can ill _ _ _ _ _ _ _ to fail any of his exams. (7 letters)
    2. I'm not in the _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ of getting other people to do my work for me. (8 letters)
    Please suggest me the answers.

My initial thoughts do not fit your letter requirements.

    1. afford
    2. habit

    ***NOT A TEACHER***

I did it in an exam. Here is my answer:
    1. afford (can ill afford = cannot afford)
    2. business

However, afford has only 6 letters.

    Re: Gap fill

I can't think of any alternative to "afford", seven letters or otherwise. Both "habit" and "business" work but "habit" is more natural.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
