Please analyse this sentence:
So while some traditional trades - malster and blacksmith - had declined or vanished, they had been replaced by others, many of them efforts New Agey, Back-to-the-Land, and Save-the-Planet in nature.

There are words missing. I"m not sure what it's supposed to be. Something like "many of them efforts of "New Age," "back to the land," or "save the planet" movements.

Whatever the missing word is it shout come after "efforts", right? I'm having problem understanding the usage of "many of them efforts"

An awkward sentence. Before "many" I would put a dash and consider the rest an afterthought. To make it into a complete sentence, you would have to supply "were", or something like it. "Malster and blacksmith" could be considered an appositive modified by an understood "for example.

If you really want, I will diagram it according to Reed-Kellogg, but on Youtube. With a keyboard, diagramming is too tedious.
