Hello, Good morning!

I would like to know if the following sentences are (in)correct:

"The Email consists of a system for sending and receiving messages electronically." OR "Email consists of a system for sending and receiving messages electronically."

Thank you!

The second is correct. No "The".

One more example just to clear my doubt... so we should say: "The letter is more formal than email.", right?

Thanks again!!!

No. If you start with "The letter", you need to use the parallel "the email".
Or, "A letter is more formal than an email", "Letters are more formal than emails".
In your previous post, 'email' meant the whole electronic system. In this current case, it simply means one or more emails.

PS: It's preferred here to click on the 'Like' rather than post a separate thanks.

There is no reason to capitalize the "e" in email/e-mail.
