    Question Please, check my sentence

    "This design piece was inspired by the patchwork quilts. The result was a combination of two different modules hand-painted composing a simple and beautiful pattern."

    it's a description for my design entry in a design contest. is that correct?

    It's a description for of my design entry in a design contest. Is that it correct?


    If you are referring to the design of patchwork quilts in general, not some specific quilts, then the article is not needed.
    I feel it's OK to use either the past or present tense in the first sentence, but stylistically I think the past works best here. The "result" is, in my opinion, more naturally seen as being in the present: "…the result is…".
    "hand-painted" is OK where you have it but needs commas: "…two different modules, hand-painted, composing a…". However, I would rephrase it.

    This design piece was inspired by (the) patchwork quilts. The result is a combination of two different hand-painted modules, composing a simple and beautiful pattern.
